The Kapuskasing-Timmins-Mushkegowuk NDP candidate in the federal election says Northern Ontario needs a strong voice, and she is that voice.
At her campaign launch at her Timmins headquarters, Nicole Fortier said when she was mayor of Moonbeam, she defended municipalities, health care and francophone rights.
“You can be reassured that I will be defending everybody in Northern Ontario, especially in Kapuskasing-Timmins-Mushkegowuk against Donald Trump and Pierre Poilievre’s threats,” she stated.
Fortier Lévesque told Moose FM News that people have already lost their jobs in the metals and lumber sectors, because of the tariffs.
“This needs to stop now. But for that, you need a strong voice and I am that voice.”
Fortier Lévesque says her party will do everything in its power to make sure the government works with all political parties on stopping Donald Trump’s threats.
