Progress continues to be made on completing fundraising for the ultrasound units at Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing. Foundation project manager Mireille Dubosq shares some good news regarding a recent donation and how the number of machines they were raising money for had changed.
“A lot of people don’t know that we were raising money for two machines cause we only had a public campaign for one, but in the background we were working to get the second one funded and the good news is that a generous donor has paid for that machine,” she said.
Dubosq says they are just over $33,000 away from completed the project and purchasing the second unit.
“People are just bringing in donations here and there. We are getting memorial donations in as well. 50-50 is still going towards that project,” she said.
A large portion of the money was collected through the Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon back in December.
