The Kapuskasing Food Bank received some support from Northern Ontario Wires on Monday afternoon.
Utility General Manager Marc Belanger says Northern Ontario Wires is happy to help with the $750 donation.
“We’re just happy to try and help out some people in need especially during the holidays, and we would like to challenge perhaps other utilities,” Belanger said.
Meantime there’s a food drive this Saturday night at the Kapuskasing Flyers game at the Sports Palace. You can drop off your non-perishable items in the lobby of the arena between 6 and 8 pm. Food Bank coordinator Laury Benson says they don’t want people to go hungry so they need a little bit of everything to restock their shelves.
