A performance called The Living Nativity will be held in Kapuskasing next Monday, Dec. 23 that is sure to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. It will take place at the Pavilion near the Welcome Centre starting at 6:30 pm.
Organizer Shawn Davies says he got the idea from a friend who moved up to Kap recently and had just done a similar event.
“Just friends and people we know in the community, connecting with people proposing the idea,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of positive response and a lot of people are pretty excited about it so it wasn’t that difficult to get people on board.”
Davies says the show will last about 30 minutes and there’s even going to be a special appearance by some live animals.
“Ya we do have some animals lined up,” he said. “We have some lined up some we are working on so I don’t want to give the list out right now but there are going to be barn kind of animals on site that people can come see after we work through.”
He adds that people are invited to stay afterwards, meet the actors, and see the animals. The Warm Belly Kitchen will be offering free hot chocolate and cookies.
