The winner of this year’s TD Bank raffle will not only get their Christmas shopping done all at once but be able to help a great cause. Manager of Customer Experience Stacey Vanderburgh says in the previous three years the draw has raised a significant amount for the Kapuskasing Food Bank.
“As this is the fourth year, the previous years we have raised over $16,000 in total for the Food Bank definitely hoping to surpass last year’s total which was $5,400,” she said.
She adds there’s everything from a recliner to various gift baskets.
“Our raffle this year has been graciously donated by 29 of our amazing local merchants,” she noted. “A total value of $3,550 and one winner takes all.”
That draw winner will be announced on the same night as the bank’s Teddy Bear toss during the Kapuskasing Flyers game on Saturday, Dec. 14.
You are asked to bring a new teddy bear to the game and throw it on the ice during the first intermission to support the Northeastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services Community Angel Campaign. Game time is 7 pm.
