This week’s Kapuskasing history segment is off to high school back in 1962. Two KDHS students were announced as winners of the Spruce Falls Power and Paper Company schoolarships in a September 5th edition of the Northern Times.
Keith Roy and David Eady each won $2,000 payable at $500 a year for four years. Roy beat Eady by less than two per cent for the top marks at the high school.
The two were going to take different career paths with Roy wanting to become a Math and Physics teacher, while Eady was going to study in history. We appreciate the ongoing support of the Kapuskasing Public Library and the use of its archives for this weekly segment.
