The Hearst-Kapuskasing Smooth Rock Falls Counselling Services has rebranded with a new name Reflexion Wellness Services as of Monday. Executive Director Steve Fillion says the new name is more inclusive and reflects on the region they now serve from Hornepayne to Cochrane and north to Moosonee.
“Since we are getting funding from different ministries so we offer now over 10 programs in the mental health sector,” he said. “We also manage two family resource centres – two women’s shelters one in Kapuskasing and one in Moosonee.”
Fillion adds that the new name is something the board of directors has been looking at for the past two years.
“Going from you know 20 employees to now we’re over 60 employees,” he said.
Fillion says they’re beginning an extensive marketing campaign to help bring everyone up to speed on the changes.
