Today’s Kapuskasing history segment focuses on photos of the winners of the opening bonspiel at the Curling Club. It’s in the November 7th 1962 edition of the Northern Times.
The first event title was captured by the Cliff Thompson rink of Kap defeating Lyle Adkins in the final. Mel Hougen’s foursome took honours in the second event edging Lyle Wilder in a tight affair. The Smooth Rock Falls team led by Alex Roberts collected the third division crown.
