The fulltime population of about 300 people in Jogues is expected to swell to over two-thousand this weekend for the three-day Mud Fest.
Secretary Daphneé Brunet says it’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the fire hall.
“We’ll have four-wheeler races, side-by-side races. We’ll also have truck races,” she tells My Kap-Hearst Now Dot Com.
Don’t worry about where to stay. Bring your camper.
“We have a big camping area,” Brunet reassures you. “Last year we had over 62 campers and we still had room for more.”
Of course, there will food and refreshments available and a lot of live music.
Brunet says the event attracts racers and spectators from all over.
“We have people coming in from the Toronto area, Sudbury area, Longlac, Thunder Bay, Timmins, all over the province and I think it was last year, we had people from Quebec.”
