Kapuskasing history now, and the official opening of an extension built on to the Royal Canadian Legion Hall.
The Northern Times of March 28th, 1962 reported on the event from the previous Friday night.
The extension provided a ladies’ lounge and an apartment for the steward. The opening was presided over by the Legion’s provincial president and district commander.
Dancing took place to the music of the Top Hats. A midnight cold plate buffet was served by the Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, under the direction of Mrs. Mabel Anderson.
