750 pounds of dog food was delivered this weekend to resident dogs in Kashechewan.
Ontario SPCA Media Contact Melissa Kosowan says they responded to an urgent appeal from the Kashechewan First Nation to feed their resident dogs.
Kosowan says the food was flown in on Saturday, and since volunteers from multiple services have been delivering and feeding local dogs.
She also says they would like to thank the generosity of their donors for helping make the delivery possible.
Kashechewan has evacuated annually over the past decade due to flooding concerns.
