Kapuskasing Town Council meetings can now be viewed from your computer or mobile device. Clerk Chantal Guillemette says the meetings have been streaming since last August to get councillors and staff up to speed with the new technology.
She adds there are different ways to tune including through the town’s You Tube page.
“So if you go through our civic web portal some people might find it a bit trickier to access because you have to click on a few extra pages on our website to access the civic web portal,” she said. “But if you are familiar with our portal, that is probably the easiest and best way to access our live stream.”
The Town has also launched a brand new website to make it easier for residents to access services and even pay their bills.
“So our new website does have the opportunity for the public to subscribe to news alerts, newsletters, and notices and what not,” she said. “And we have some different features that are more modern to today’s technology so it’s mobile friendly.”
