The outgoing president of the Northern Corridor Chamber Commerce says the organization has a bright future ahead.
Cathy Courchesne highlighted the relaunch of the Hearst Business Awards and the meetings with the Cochrane Board of Trade during her speech at the annual meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
She noted the corridor needs to continue to work together.
I mean we are obviously stronger in numbers being from such small communities,” she said. “Our partnerships with the Cochrane Board of Trade and the community of Hearst the results speak for themselves this year.”
Courchesne who is stepping down after her three year term, says the ongoing trade war between Canada and the US is on everyone’s mind.
“Just because we are from the north does not make us immune from it so we need to watch out and encourage each other, stay the course stay strong and stick to your beliefs,” she said.
