Notre Dame Hospital Foundation begins major fundraising program for surgical equipment

The Notre Dame Hospital Foundation is looking to add more equipment to the surgical suites. Director Francine Laberge says a fundraising initiative is underway to raise $250,000 to help purchase a surgical arm.

“Essential for pression in procedures and it’s used for several different specialties orthopedics, cariology, neurology, urology, and it provides real time images to the surgeon,” she noted.

Laberge says the surgical arm will also help local residents not having to travel out of town.

“So we really hoping this will help with a recruitment of a surgeon, to provide more services to the residents of Hearst and area,” she said.
