Two Kapuskasing men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery at the Esso Gas Station on Government road in the community earlier this month. OPP say through the investigation it was discovered that the robbery was linked to separate theft at a business on Cain Avenue on the same day, March 6th.
Police searched a home on O’Brien Avenue on Tuesday and seized evidence linked to the hold-up.
A 37-year-old is charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, disguise with intent and theft under $5,000, shoplifting.
A 36-year-old is charged with robbery with a weapon, theft under $5,000, shoplifting and failure to comply with a probation order.
