Traffic stop leads to impaired and drug trafficking charges in Hearst

A traffic stop in Hearst by Ontario Provincial Police has led to impaired driving and drug trafficking charges.

Police stopped a car on Jolin Street last Saturday, and determined that the driver had consumed an intoxicating substance. A search of the vehicle later resulted in police seizing suspected Methamphetamine tablets.

A 45 year old from Hearst is facing two impaired driving charges, as well as possession of methamphetamine tablets and possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.
