Hearst hockey history will be celebrated tonight prior to the NOJHL game between the Lumberjacks and the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.
The Hearst Lumberkings who have roots in the community dating back 75 years to 1950-51 will be honoured in a special pre-game ceremony. Hearst Minor Hockey Associations teams are all called the Lumberkings as a tribute to the past.
The Lumberjacks will be wearing special third jerseys during the game. Team officials say that those jerseys will be used for all special games going forward.
The puck drop at Claude Larose Arena is 7:30 pm.
