Friday was certainly a big day for health care in the region with the successful 12 hour Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon.
A combined total of over $81,000 was collected during the event including more than $26,000 for the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation in Kapuskasing to help with the purchase of an Ultrasound machine.
Over $55,000 was raised for the Notre Dame Hospital Foundation in Hearst to help buy a device that tests for nerve damage including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Since the radiothon starting raising money for healthcare five years ago, it’s brought it over $468,000.
Thanks to everyone who donated. If you missed your change to contribute, contact one of the foundations and offer your financial support.
