Sensenbrenner Hospital foundation announces project for December Radiothon

In about three weeks the Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon hits the airwaves on Friday, Dec. 13 to raise money for health care both in Kapuskasing and in Hearst.

Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation project manager Mireille Dubosq says this year the money will go to a new ultra sound machine.

“A lot of people think it’s only for pregnant women so the ultra sounds are also for abdominal studies, gynecological, obstetrical, vascular, small parts and they are performed on all age,” she said.

Dubosq says fundraising efforts will have a good starting point.

“We were lucky enough to have some surplus from the dialysis clinic renovation project that we can carry forward to the machine so we are looking at raising $90,000,” she said.

The Radiothon airs from 6 am to 6 pm and donations can be made in a variety of different ways either in person, or by contacting the foundation.
