A funder’s forum in Kapuskasing today brought together local, regional, provincial and federal agencies to discuss various ways to help merchants grow. The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce helped to organize the event. North Claybelt Community Future Development Corporation Executive Director Linda Semczyszyn says it was great to see so much interest.
We have great questions, most people are leaving with some information that they can bring back to their team or to their business and go through the paperwork to see what they qualify for,” she said.
Semczyszyn says some business owners may not know about the various programs that they could qualify for.
“Some of the programs have to do with hiring of employees, possibly small capital loans,” she aid. “It’s not just the banking but different organizations that offer that type of services.”
