Hearst and area businesses will have a chance to network and celebrate their successes next month with the return of the Prix Panache Hearst Business Awards Gala on Saturday, Nov. 2. It’s at the Hearst Arts Council.
The Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce is organizing the event for the first time and president Cathy Courchesne says it’s going to be a great night.
“The chamber of commerce is really excited about presenting this event in Hearst,” she said. “It’s been absent for many years. The success of the events in Kapuskasing and Cochrane made the decision to go over and do this in Hearst.”
Finalists have been announced for a number of awards including the top prize Business of Yea. LMS Rail Equipment Services, Pharmacy Novena and Villeneuve construction are up for that honor. Pharmacy Novena and Follow Her North are the only businesses that have multiple nominations.
She says Hearst has a very unique business make-up.
“In Hearst their not depended on chains or other big industry like that,” she said. “They’re really local, really committed to fostering their values living in a small community.”
Tickets are available through the Northern Corridor Chamber office.
