In Kapuskasing history we turn our attention to Christmas mail that had started to arrive at the post office.
A photo in the Wednesday, Dec. 19 edition of the Northern Times shows postmaster Maurice Cousineau working overtime to handle the some 20,000 pieces of letters, Christmas cards and packages that arrive on average per day.
A second photo in the same edition highlights Ben Sinai one of seven postal carriers responsible for delivering everything to homes and businesses.
We appreciate the partnership of the Kapuskasing Public Library for our weekly segment.
