The value of home air conditioning is abundantly clear this week, in the heat and humidity.
If it’s a portable or window-mounted unit you’re looking for, Chris Rody, president of Rody’s Retail in Kapuskasing says $400.00 or $500.00 should get you quite comfortable.
“As the heat over a couple days that extends here a couple days in a row,” he explains, “you tend to get a lot more heat that’s staying in the house, so yeah, the demand is here every day.”
Rody says he has the air conditioners in stock to meet that demand, with a longer, hotter summer than ever being predicted for 2024.
“They’re all sitting here on our showroom. They’re all ready to go. Multiple units sitting here. Have a discussion with one of our staff, which one is the best suited for the room or the house that’s needed, and the window application and yeah, you’re all set to go.”
