One of the most look forward to events in the Model Town is ready to go tomorrow night. The Riverside Park Lights Ceremony gets underway at 6 pm followed by the official flicking of the switch at 6:30.
Tourism and Special Events Coordinator Kelly Kraby says the park is nearly ready for its unveil.
“Our team has been working tirelessly the past month just putting up the decorations in some frigid weather,” she said. “So it’s been a challenge with the staff and everything.”
The night features free hot chocolate, wagon rides, music from the Kapuskasing Jubilee Singers, a photo booth, a scavenger hunt and a bonfire.
Kraby says it’s great to have new partners like the Jubliee singers, the Kapuskasing Flyers and College Boreal helping out with the festivities.
